AUTHOR

Alex Michaelides is a British-Cypriot author, born in Cyprus in 1977. He grew up in Cyprus and then moved to the UK to study English literature at Cambridge University. After graduating, he attended the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where he received an MFA in screenwriting.

Before becoming a full-time author, Michaelides worked as a screenwriter and wrote for several films and TV shows. He also worked as a psychotherapist for a short period of time before turning to writing full-time.
